it was.....
surprisingly fun~
it was ben's fren's gf's 18th birthday..
i wouldnt choose to celebrate my 18th birthday in zoo thou
but.. its way better than staying at home eating medicine ah.. (there's how i celebrated my 18th birthday - down with chicken pox).

actually.. i have told my frens abt the trip alr.. the white tiger feeding... and stuff..

Hahahaha.. Went to my class chalet on 22nd March... met jeremy, jr, janet, nich, fiona at pasir ris mrt... took bus to E-hub, the new shopping centre at downtown east.. Ate our lunch.. did some shopping for BBQ.. aftermath, MAHJONG, MAHJONG, AND MORE MAHJONG.
went home on 23rd.. din feel like going to wild wild wet while the rest did.. and i was damn tired~

Good Afternoon Everyone who reads my blog (i guess not many ppl left),

How are you? Hope things go well and smooth for you!

As you are aware, I went to Pular Ubin the other day with a big group of people mainly junrong's clique with my Darling Benjamin. With much excitement, we took the ferry from Changi Village to the island. As some of us had expected, it rained the moment we stepped onto the land of Pular Ubin. Nevertheless, we carried on with our plan, which was to cycle. We took a map from the Information counter, rent a bike each and started off our wonderful journey under the heavy rain.

We went through ups and downs during the journey. (Literally, ups and downs). However, we had lots of fun, taking photos, sight seeing. The most fun part of the journey was to go down slopes. The wind that blew against your face, how things went past you according to your speed was wonderful! The rain stopped after sometime and all of us were drenched by then. Poor Junrong, had to push the bike most of the time as his bicycle pedal came loose and dropped out.

Then, we had a break at one of the shops. Those guys were great! They brought packet of bread, cooked eggs, water, etc to share with each other. My darling was also very nice, he went to order chicken wings for everybody. The frangrance from our food lured the dogs. We were practically surrounded by all the dogs there while eating. Cool!

After our lunch, we continued on our journey. Our destination was Chek Jawa. Unfortunately, the moment we reached Chek Jawa, it started to rain again. We walked in despite the rain. However, the person-in-charge told us it was dangerous to walk down. Thus, we went to a resting point nearby and we took some photos there too. Next, we decided to go back to where we started. We took our bikes and rode back. The rain was getting heavier and heavier. We hurried ourselves to get back to the ferry point as soon as possible. Halfway up the slope, there was a small stone that was stuck in the chain and my bicycle was unable to move. There was only my darling and Andy around to help me. The rest of them who cycled in front of us did not realise anything. Andy and dar tried to fix the bicycle for me and they succeeded after sometime! Then, we cycled faster to catch up with the rest.

Finally, we reached our destination. All of us were exhausted. Nevertheless, we still had a great day together.

here to blog about my sec sch clique - 323456.
we formed the clique using this name because of our register number.
jus nice all our register numbers are in sequence. LOL.

Number 3 - Yuzhen

I recalled during the end of secondary 2, I had some conflicts with my clique then. Initially I was with karen, min-er, guoping, etc etc etc. could not really remember. Anyway, some things happened and i left my clique. I was alone until i approached yuzhen. She had some problem wif her clique too~ so naturally we got together and went to recess together, went home together, went out together, just hanged out together. I din really like her at first cos i thought she had alwas followed what i did and could not decide things by herself [HAHAHA. yuzhen, dunno if u noe this not]. Anyway, after hanging out for quite sometime, she became my best friend. We went into the same class again in sec 3 after streaming in sec 2. Of cos, this meant that we would be hanging out together for 2 more years. Until now, even after we graduated from secondary school and went to different schools, we still kept in contact and asked each other out often.
Yuzhen has alwas been such a good and obedient girl in her family. Remember last time when we went out, she alwas needed to be home by dinner time. However, i dun c all these things in her anymore. All thanks to her ex bf. Ever since what has happened a few mths ago, her life is ruined. What changes most is none other than her innocence. Seeing her becomes what she is now, i feel so heartpain. But, i cant do anything. I jus hope she's happy now with her new boyfriend and that her new boyfriend will not hurt her again. If not, i guess, her life will be TOTALLY ruined.

Yuzhen ah, please love urself and ur body. Nothing worth more than loving urself.

Number 4 - Theresa

I knew theresa through red cross. ermm, actually i forgot how we got so close. but, with her, we went through a lot. A lot in red cross. A lot of tears shed together in red cross. DAMN RED CROSS. lol. Seriously, nw come to think of it, the most enjoyable part was when im still a cadet. When we took over, it was HELL for all of us including yuzhen, liyue, theresa and reinaldo. Yup, all of us were from red cross. Because of red cross, we had tons and tons and tons of argument among ourselves, with the seniors, with the fucking attitute problem juniors. I dun care if any of my juniors are reading my blog nw, anyway its over. HAHAAH. Theresa has been a very straight forward person, frankly speaking, she's even more straight forward than me. hahaha. so sometimes, we may be hurt by some of her words and be angry and stuff like that. We also had conflict with each other more than often. Especially she thought I was bossy in the clique. LOL. theresa, i know~ hahaha. During SYF footdrill training, liyue and theresa got to know a group of friends from Fairfield Methodist and i felt left out. Everytime i knew they gonna meet them, i would be very unhappy. Once, they went out and din dare to tell me about it, i found out and i was damn damn damn angry. LOL. We had a little argument then. Another argument we had was about VS. Yuzhen's ex was from VS and theresa's too, so naturally they got very close and kept hanging out wif those VS ppl. Both liyue and I felt left out, so whenever we saw VS friends coming to our school, we din even say a Hi to them and we walked off. Yes, thats how childish we were last time. Nevertheless, we still love each other. =]

Theresa, jiayou for ur As. Hope u will pass with flying colours and get into a good University. I'll c u in Uni ! =]

Number 6 - Liyue

Liyue is my bestest of the best friend. In fact, we had been best friends since pri school. 10 yrs of friendship alr. COOL~ Together with her twin sister, 3 of us went through ups and downs during pri school. hahaha. Childishness made us quarrel for N times. After PSLE, liwen [ liyue's sis] chose to go to Chung Cheng High Main and liyue went to Tanjong Katong sec. I was given a choice to go to CCHMS to take 2nd language, but i din. So i ended in TKSS with liyue. wha. i dunno hows life will be like if i chose to go CCHMS back then. lol. Anyway, though liyue and I went into the same school, we were in different class. Therefore, she made her own clique and i made mine. Gradually, from evryday we had our recess together and home together to a few days in a week to seldom to never. We became sort of strangers in secondary 2. I also dunno y. We passed by each other w/o saying hi. She was with her own friends and i would be with my own friends. Until i left my clique, i started to talk to yue. True friendship will never end jus like that. We got back to our days where we chatted on our way back home, recess together. By then, there were already 4 ppl in my clique. Liyue, yuzhen, theresa and myself.

Although liyue is my best friend, after graduation, we seldom meet up and talk online, at least not as often as i meet yuzhen. But, she's still my forever bestest friend in my heart. I felt very sad when i got to know her family conditions recently.

Liyue, hope ur family will get better and better, settle the thing so that u will not be so tired and working so hard to help. Hope u can cope with ur studies. Last long with guohao.

Number 32 - Reinaldo

Hmmm. this guy ah.. i also forgot how he got into my clique. I guess was because he lived near us? and we alwas go home together. LOL. He was the chairperson of red cross and i was the vice chair. There was once we din like him very much because he alwas MIA during meetings. However, dunno what stroke him, he became very enthusiastic and became the chairperson. LOL. If i nv remember wrongly, he joined our clique only during end of sec 3 or starting of sec 4. HAHAHA! oh ya! i recalled something. We were in the same class during sec 1, and our class spread a rumour about us being together. u know la huh. secondary school alwas got rumours here and there. hahaha.

Reinaldo is nw in UK studying. hahah. hope he's doing well there. =]

the times we spent hours in the salon making our hair even when exams were near,

run together,
gym together,

badminton together,
long time taken to finish our meal cos we chatted too much in between,
introduced our boyfriends to each other,

so... being his very sweet, loving, cute, pretty, understanding, nice girlfriend, i had decided to make a meal for him!

HOW FORTUNATE IS HE?!

anyway. so i went to NTUC to buy ingredients.
i had made pasta, homecook dishes, sushi for him before already.
so this time round, i mus cook sth different~

FINALLY DECISION: CHICKEN FILLET!

these were the things i bought:

so after getting ready the ingredients.... i started to take out my wok, oil, flour.

first method i used to fry my chicken - add some soya sauce and salt to the chicken, use a spoon to tap the chicken a little to make it more tender, dip it inside a bowl of flour and fry!
the outlook wasnt that good so i decided to use another method.

second method i used - mix eggs with flour. stir until i think is ok. add soya sauce and salt to chicken, tap it a little, dip into the mixture and add lots of bread crumbs. FRY.
wow... not to praise myself.. ITS DARN NICE!

so these were my victories...

nest i fried the fries.. hmmm. it wasnt too hard... jus pour the amount of frozen fries you want into the boiling oil and wait for around 10 minutes.

[by that time, i was already sweating like hell]

next up will be my bf's favourite, a must-have-food-for-every-meal----SOUP! i chose Clam chowder soup.

for the very first assignment, i went to esplanade and then to vivo with geok and chris.
initially, i planned to go Sentosa to take my self portrait.
but the queue was WAY TOOOOOOOOOOOO LONG.

Have you ever wondered how and why opposite sex attracts and stay attracted? I do not know the answer to that question either. I guess this is what that makes love so complicated.

Love exists regardless of age. It can be so sweet and pure when you are young, when you have nothing to worry about. the most recent event was my 9TH MONTH ANNIVERSARY!
hubby was damn sweet.

GEMS ASSIGNMENT 2

Subject in different lightings.
Theme - Team

This picture was taken at Kpool with the help of a friend by holding his handphone touchlight at an angle. I went around the pool table to capture the poolballs so that the light seems to shine at the ball at different angle. As you can see from this picture, the light is shining from the left thus creating the shadow of the poolballs on the right. I named my theme TEAM because when playing pool, the poolballs and the Q stick worked together as a team to win a match. Not any of them could stand alone.

I went to the opposite side of my friend to take this picture thus the light is shining towards me.

One look at the theme for assigment 2 - Black and white Decisive Moments, the first thought that came to my mind was to snap my cute little yorkie-EYO! As you know, puppies were hard to tackle with especially with mine. This picture was successfully taken when my boyfriend was holding the so-called "tidbits" for dogs which made Eyo so obedient. I tried to fill the frame with Eyo yearning for food and a little of the negative background created by the floor. I took it from the top to create a perspective view of Eyo. This was actually shot jus the seconds before she jumped up and got the tidbit from my boyfriend's hand.

I took a picture of my boyfriend when he's playing pool. I used the rule of thirds with the ball as the foreground, my boyfriend as the mid group and the random people behind as background. I put the camera on the pool table and tilted it a little bit up to create the perspective view. The lighting came from the lamp on top of the pool table.

As I was walking, I saw this backview of a handicapped uncle and had the thought of capturing it down. I captured this with a silhouette setting with the help of the bright sun. The formation of a heart on the floor by the uncle's legs kind of sent a message to the audience to kindly open up your heart to the handicapped. By using the photoediting software, I increased the contrast of the photo a little to give the white negative background.

The last photo was my boyfriend and I. I asked a friend to take a photo of us from a low angle when we were walking. This photo actually represents my feelings for him. I wish that we can last from the day our hairs is all black until the day they turn grey. I applied the rule of thirds with the bush at the side being the foreground, my boyfriend and I being the midground and the building at the back being the background.

My Gems Assignment 1

I took a photo of this temple near my boyfriend's house in the day using the rule of thirds - the trees being the foreground, the temple being the midground and the sky being the background. Another rule applied was the horizontal and vertical lines created by the structure of the temple. The sky served another purpose by acting as the negative background for the temple.

This photo was taken at night at around 10 pm. I also applied the rule of thirds - the road being the foreground, the gate being the mid ground and the temple being the background. The lighting of this temple at night gave it a very mysterious appearance which was what I was interested in capturing. As you can see, the contrast between the feel of the temple during the day and at night was quite different. Horizontal lines and vertical lines rules were also applied in this photo. I used a night shot mode for this photo.

This photo was taken at citylink. Initially I wanted to take a picture of a flight of staircase from the top view, but i found this interior structure when I reached the top. I applied the rule of vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines together with the triangle rule and gave it a perspective sort of view.

The same place and angle was taken at night. The lighting was nicer and the interior structure was more outstanding. I applied the same rule as the one taken during the day.

I asked a friend of mine to help me with this photo. I jumped for around 15 times to get a satisfied shot. I wished to bring out and show the funky and sporty side of myself, thus explained my dressing. This photo was taken at the open space at Vivocity.

The sunny afternoon contributed greatly to this self-portrait of mine as the theme I set was 'sporty and sunshine'. I indeed love to do sports. This photo was again taken with the help of my friend. I was lying down on the patch of grass at Vivocity open space. The natural light from the sun gave this photo a very good support.

while darling was in CHINA, i went to search for his bed which he wanted.
dragged geok wif me to TAMPINES IKEA and COURTS..
the place was a big WOW for me la!

esp we went at night.

did not manage to get the bed but bought 2 cushions for $3.50 each.

and also night shift got no many samples to do.
most of the tym we sat down there and chit chat.

it was quite tiring actually.
by 6 am, our eyes were bloodshot alr.

slept in the bus lk nobody business, opened mouth big big oso dun care.

CHANGI GENERAL HOSPITAL SYMPOSIUM.

this was an event whereby the lab technicians, manager, professor did their presentation on their research for certain machines.
for e.g. blood gas machine, thalassemia screen and stuff lidat.
hmmmm.

OF COURSE, we as students [extra ppl in the lab] were entitled to do all their SAI GANG [shit work] that was-----
FILING.
i din mind helping them to file actually,
but pls la......
be more considerate can....
ask us [3 gals] to punch the holes for the ppt slides.
its fucking thick i tell u.
and we got lk 100 files to file in la.
which meant we had lk millions of papers to punch hole wif !
DAMN IT!

and thans to some professor... hmmmmm..
last min giv his ppt slides, last min change slides all this made us open and close the bloody file for SO MANY TYMS.

imagine each tym he change the slides, we had to refile the 100 files.

let me talk about my work first.
the most 'INTERESTING' thing that had happened during my work was.........
all 3 of us [SP students - geok, amalina and I] had URINARY TRACT INFECTION!
damn irritating can!
i got it lk 1 mth ago. WAHAHAHA.
thats so long ago na.

let me tell u my story....

ok. as i have said. i got my UTI a mth ago.
i took my own urine sample [the colour was clear, abit reddish but still looks quite ok to me]
i looked under the microscope.
WOW.
i swear i nv c sooooo many red blood and white blood cells in my whole life before la!
printed my results and went to Accident and Emergency to c the doctor.
the doc gave me Potassium Citrate solution and Ciproflaxin antibiotics tablets.
it cost me $75. =.=
after eating for a few days, i felt quite well alr so i stopped my course.
HMMMMM.
WRONG CHOICE!
the bacteria came back wif a more serious attack.
this time round, i took my urine sample and i got a shock!
my urine was coffee in colour!
i thot it was quite serious alr so i went to Microbiology lab ask the technologist to help me do a culture.
they found out that i was actually resistant to the antibiotic - Ciproflaxin alr.
and they found >100,000 colonies of E.coli [a type of bacteria].
COOL EH?
as i din wan to pay another $75, i went to ask the pathogist to give me a prescription.
i took ciproflaxin again to try c if it could work.
i went to the pharmacy and buy ciproflaxin only to find out that CIPROFLAXIN TABLETS ONLY COST A BLOODY HELL $1.20!

i was damn shocked and amused by my stupidity sia!
i kept luffing at myself from the pharmacy back to the laboratory. =.=

after taking ciproflaxin for 1 wk, i did another urine culture.
obviously it was still not working for me.
E.coli was still present in my urine~
Bo bian la~
went to c my family doctor instead.
asked her to giv me Augmentin [another antibiotic which i was tested to be sensitive to].
im right now still taking this antibiotic.

all in all, i took one whole mth of antibiotic!

i made sushi fer my darling fer valentine's day.
cos i got work.
so i made the sushi the dae before and put into the fridge.
